On the left side of the coin, over Anthony’s shoulder, is the mint mark, which identifies the location where the currency was minted. The borders of the inner rim are reeded and form an 11-sided polygonal shape. There are stars imprinted all over it, as you’ll see. Around the coin’s bottom is engraved the year of issuance, 1979.
Additionally, you can read the phrase “IN GOD WE TRUST” in reduced font size on Anthony’s chin’s opposite side. The word “LIBERTY” is engraved all over and around the coin.
